Centerboard Clubhouse and Grounds are Closed effective immediately

Wednesday, March 25, 2020 10:13 | Anonymous member (Administrator)

Governor Janet just announced that Maine is taking further steps to protect public health. This means that all Non-Essential Businesses must close. Centerboard Yacht Club does not fall under the category of non-essential and as a result, Centerboard Yacht Club is now closed. Access to the Club and Club Grounds is limited to Bridge members only to check on the facility as needed.

We are monitoring the news in real-time and will provide updates when they become available. The Rear Commodore has been putting together a list of spring work tasks but as of now these are suspended and deemed non-essential. We have a member who has already assessed the docks and there is very little that needs to be done before Floats In so that is good news.

Needless to say, May 2nd is fast approaching and if things do not improve or if necessary services to achieve floats in are impacted, there may be a delay in re-opening the Club. Unfortunately this is beyond our control. We will keep the membership informed so please continue to read communications coming from the Bridge.

In the meantime, please stay safe, healthy and compliant.
