We had our first work party today in the lovely spring weather. Despite the rainy gray day we got a good start on our projects. We had 37 members join us.
Some of the stuff we worked on:
- cleaned the walls of the clubhouse and all the items that hang on them.
- cleaned, organized and inventoried the paint closet and storage closet in the back of the clubhouse.
- inventoried the items in the attic of the shack.
- continued work on the trim and interior of stewards shack.
- Started work on the setup of the east side yard - location for the sail school boats and gear.
- cleaned and organized the lawn shed.
- cleaned out the winter storage trailer.
- pressure washed the stewards shack back deck and fence in preparation for staining it.
- organized our materials for float repairs.
- checked out the grills - they are all in working order!
- plus lots of little items that come up...
Next week we will be working on the following:
- float repairs - replacing missing flotation
- re-roof the storage closet roof (roll roofing) if you have a roof shovel please bring it)
- staining the stewards shack fence
- cleaning out the east side yard
- working on the east side wall
- dig out the sinkhole to make sure we haven't got a hole in our sewer pipe
- start yard work
- empty sail school trailer
- clean windows (outside)
- strip & paint outside furniture that needs it
- plus lots of little items that come up...
