Commodore’s Summary
We had a short meeting on a very balmy February evening. There were 4 trustees absent.
Secretary – Minutes were distributed – no corrections.
Treasurer – the finances are consistent with expectations. The spring dues notice has gone out and is due back by March 15.
Vice Commodore – Burleigh will be out for a period of time as he recovers. I will handle hiring Launch operators (3 returning from last year at this point). I will also handle the auction solicitations and get assistance with assembling the auction items. Tim will assist as he can, but he will focus on the work parties primarily.
Rear Commodore – The work parties plan is taking shape. The focus will be on the two new floats. The goal is to develop a team of 8-12 people who work on the floats and learn the process of building them. Tom Dobbins will head this up. The other bigger projects will be water and power to the shed, staining the shed (Lin Cross to organize) and the usual club clean up/maintenance.

Comments
We received an email from Tim Reilley that he would be resigning his social membership this year. He felt that it did not make much sense to continue his membership since the current club setup discourage social members from visiting by dinghy, which in his case is the most logical form of transportation to come to the club. Bob Doran has said the membership committee would like to kick this around and try to come up with a solution. The trustees agreed that we would rather not discourage a member from participating in activities this way. There was also discussion regarding the social membership rights and how they might be used or abused. I have extended the invitation to Tim to visit the club via dinghy and participate in the club activities as a social member if he chooses to continue as a member.
Next week is the club meeting on Thursday, March 1 at 1900.
