On August 27th sailors will depart Portland from Maine Yacht Center in the 3rd Northeast Harbor Race. They will be sailing east towards Penobscot Bay and Mt. Desert Island. Friday's sunset will fade behind them as a full moon illuminates the night. Matinicus will appear on the horizon thru the sunrise as they head to the finish of this 100 mile odyssey.
