The Rip Rap project is underway in earnest despite the cold and snow. Shaw Brothers under the supervision of Wayne Duffett (TEC Engineering), Tom Dobbins and Dick Ingalls has been hard at work. These pictures were taken this morning (Jan 25th) at 7:30 and the trucks were lined up waiting to unload material on the ramp. At low tide today, they were planning on starting to install the membrane liner which will keep material from leaching through the wall.
It is hard to determine exactly how long this project will take but based on the progress made to-date, we are probably talking about another 2-3 weeks.
Once the heavy equipment is out of the parking lot and off the premises, we will re-open the facility to the membership.
In the meantime, enjoy the pictures from the warmth of your office or home. It was 4 degrees when I took these!
